I have read 10 pages in 3 days. I dislike it so much that I've been avoiding reading all together. I feel so bad. Dropping this book would mean to say goodbye to Locke Lamora forever and I do like him. Ugggh. What should I do? I'll keep avoiding to read for another two days and then see if I can come to a decision.

I still don't get the hype. The writing is average, the world-building is barely ok, and the main character, Vin, is annoiying as hell! She is the typical YA heroine: petite, poor, emo, "the chosen one", and everybody loves her for no apparent reason? It's even more disappointing to me since this is considered Adult Fiction. Please, I wouldn't have enjoyed this in middle school lol.

Yes! I'm starting to enjoy it! Forster never disappoints. But the first half was so slow... "Marice" and "Howards End" are stronger works imo. Still, "Room with a View" is at last winning me over :)
