I still don't get the hype. The writing is average, the world-building is barely ok, and the main character, Vin, is annoiying as hell! She is the typical YA heroine: petite, poor, emo, "the chosen one", and everybody loves her for no apparent reason? It's even more disappointing to me since this is considered Adult Fiction. Please, I wouldn't have enjoyed this in middle school lol.
