just got back from a trip to new orleans so this is fun to read and be able to actually picture the story correctly

weirdly boomer-ish/gen-x-ish in a way i can't really describe? no stakes - one character's main problem is that he's too handsome and people don't want to know him for him, and another's is that she's lonely, bc her husband died but she has an inheritance so she's not under any real pressure or has to struggle. someone who works from home WANTS to return to office???

wasn't sure about this one at the beginning, but it is getting mean! excited to see how mean it gets!

the fmc keeps talking about how her house is falling apart and all the money she is spending on repairs, and at one point a pipe bursts and floods her basement she starts crying and having an anxiety attack and i started crying really hard, whoops, relatable.
