So far there have been some crude bits that are a lil uncomfy but the main character’s voice is pretty captivating and they’re working to demonstrate a scary darkness in her mental health. Hoping for a redemptive arc!

P helped me make Chocolate Sugar Cookies for Aunt KK’s wedding shower tomorrow 😋😋😋 He got to save a few for himself and rolled them in sprinkles. Sometimes I’m a cool mom !

I’m undecided if I’ll finish this. I like the author’s voice and precision, but I don’t know if I find it very relevant as a person not employed as a knowledge worker. I thought it would be more broad in application but I’m not sold yet.

Gotta say, My Favorite Brownies are now MY favorite brownies. 10/10 no notes

My library hold ran out and now there’s a 6 week wait RIP. I really like how this book is so practical and precise on ways to be intentional with gatherings. This is giving me lots of food for thought for planning my sister’s bridal shower coming up soon 😍

P and I made the pan-banging Chocolate Chip Cookies recipe today and they are MASSIVE. Very delicious and a fun new technique!

This is kind of a boring cookie but I also ate uhhhh more than 2 before they were completely cooled 🫣 so delicious - they made a great housewarming present for some friends!

Might be ambitious but my goal is to knock out 3 (maybe 4 👀) recipes this week, for various events. Will report back, obviously 🫡

I made the switch to percentage instead of page number to reflect how many of the 100 recipes we’ve made. This week, P and I tackled Cream Cheese Brownies 🤤🤤🤤 and Browned Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies. I can’t tell you how impressed I am that not one of these recipes has missed. Amazing. This was a great idea.

I am working through this series so slowly bc I seem to not have much time for audiobooks these days - always a little underfoot, begging for Dinosaur or Bunny songs instead. However, when I finally get a moment to listen to Emma, I savor it! Such a quality series. I love revisiting these characters and the quirks of St Crispians!

If this doesn’t have at least a decently happy ending I’m going to lose it. The emotional investment I have in this character is unreal.

Another recipe down! Thin and Crispy Double Chocolate Cookies. Delicious as expected, but not as good as the regular Thin and Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies, white remind me so much of Tate’s 😋

Here’s the thing: some sections of this book, I absolutely love. The author’s heart is evident. Some sections I just keep getting lost. I think this could have been edited for greater clarity and continuity. I started out pacing myself so I could focus on one principle at a time, but at this point I’m slogging through bc I’m having a hard time connecting the dots.

We have baked 4 recipes total:

- Thin and Crispy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- Peanut Butter Cookies
- Brownie Cookies (x2)

So far, everything has been DELICIOUS! I’m loving this 🤤
