So far, I'm unimpressed; I feel like this author is writing about material he's not qualified to write about? The Middle-Eastern terrorists are remarkably stereotypical so far, and it's not a good look to introduce a female character by spending a half page monologuing about her underwear. I hope this book picks up because it's kind of a slog so far.

Really enjoying this! I didn't know a ton about Van Gogh's life so this paints an interesting look at his state of being. I also appreciate the book's constant use of artistic expression to describe his life, without undermining the tragedy of Vincent's mental illness.

So far so good. If every person in this regiment turns out to be either a monster or a woman I'm gonna flip. Thank you Sir Pratchett for this ridiculous book.

I'm a little worried about this one... I'm only a little bit into it and it seems really cliched to have the antagonists be "savage" middle eastern terrorists. Guess I'll have to keep reading to see if it's gonna be rough or not.

So far, so good! The mom and sister in this are real pieces of work, and Ray's kinda a hard protagonist to root for, but it's picking up now that they've introduced the guru.
