it's actually insane to me that this was written in 2010. like i know the current political atmosphere has been building for a while. but the landscape of this novel genuinely feels like it could have come out last year ... wtf. i watched the show adaption and for real thought the book must have been new. they changed literally nothing for season 1 beat for beat it's all the same
