amazing book 🤤 absolutely what I've been looking for! love how we're taking time with Fitz and the way the story is written. oh my god this is more than a breath of fresh air! I feel myself becoming obsessed!

I have had this book checked out from the library for so long and I am FINALLY reading it. so far it's everything I've been looking for in a fantasy book <3 it's only been 1 chapter and I feel transported to a new world, reading to dive into the story <3

any and all interest i have in the main character quickly went away.

"bloodgrubbers"? really? she's disgusted by people who want their future kids to be immune to the mist that's killing the non-Manorborns?? i know she's just 17 (give or take a year) but seriously??

amazing 😭 I've been re-reading the comic to catch up to the new chapters and wanted to read the novel at the same time. I love it already!! it has a bit more info that didn't make it into the comic which makes it so interesting ❤️❤️

okay this story might be growing on me lol The constant simile no longer annoys me. It helps that I've been listening to music while reading, which somehow helps me focus

oh boy, I remember why I DNF'ed this 😅 long winded world building in between dialogue. also too many metaphors; everything she sees and feels reminds her of something "like a bird swooping down, like a...,"

still giving this a shot! the beginning of a book is sometimes a slug for me to get through, but sometimes the main part of the story draws me back in <3 super curious to see how this story goes!

I received an arc for this book years ago but DNF'ed it. imagine my surprise when I found this book at a small library 🤣 i figured it'll be nice to try reading this again. It has an interesting premise, but I don't like the writing style

gonna be honest, I started reading this because the monsters are named Hollows and it reminded me of the ones from Bleach 🤣 they haven't made an appearance yet but I can't wait!

amazing first chapter!

I read the summary and it sounds so perfect. the writing is easy to read and I like the flow of it!

it's a good book so far! the murder mystery is definitely keeping me curious. my favorite bits are when the story gets into the scenery christmas/seasonal descriptions 🥰

got this book from the library and it's pretty good. didn't realize it was a part of the series. I wished it had said so on the cover haha

this one sounded so interesting and I love the idea of princess in a why choose romance

I started to listen to the audiobook on Libby and OH MY GOD it's so good! it's read by Ahsoka's voice actor, and it has a soundtrack that plays at the perfect moments 💙💙

I'm gonna give this a soft DNF. I don't like the voices in the audiobook and it's not helping me like the story. I don't like stories where the FMC swears they hate the love interest but gets wetter than a river when they're around him. to me it ruins the tension and makes everything just filler to the main course which is the sex.

I might pick this back up later when I have money to waste on a physical book

I got the audiobook from libby and disappointed that the nonbinary character isn't one of the main two characters 🥲 they're the reason why I'm reading this. I don't really like mafia romances, something about them lack something (idk what since i haven't read much mafia romances) 😮‍💨 still giving this book a try

I don't like the direction the story is going in now 🫠 I wish it'd stayed with just Ali and Josh dealing with the threat the summary mentioned (don't wanna spoil) but that threat ended in one chapter (happy to spoil that disappointment).

I'm surprisingly enjoying this story. there are still moments where I cringe but Ali and Josh are incredibly likable.

I wanted something to listen to yesterday while I draw (still working on the art) and was looking through Libby's audiobooks to see what was available now when I saw one for this. 26% in and I'm not hating it. I like Ali and the way she's written, and Josh isn't so bad either. sure there are some lines that make me cringe badly but so far I'm enjoying the audiobook :)

one of the things I love about this story is that both love interests actually have a life and personality outside of each other <3

I am really enjoying this book. It's so warm and the romance build up is PERFECTLY paced. I love that the meat of the story is taking place during fall, and the characters are doing fall events <3 such a perfectly unexpected cozy fall read!

this book is so damn GOOD 😩❤️❤️ i love that there's a connection between Soledad and Judah, but they don't let it overpower them. They're mature and can easily brush it aside to focus on what's actually important. Lately in the books I've tried to read you don't see that, those stories would always shove the plot aside for the romance.

it's refreshing to see the opposite here
