haven't read the first in the series, mostly b/c a print copy wasn't available at my library but feel i have the gist and always down for fforde's prose

technically i'm listening to this b/c a print copy isn't available at my library. also, i thought i'd enjoyed ms. slate reciting to me. so far I have mixed feelings no page progress here by on the "on and off the island" essay.
