Kirsten is starting Preparing Teachers for a Changing World: What Teachers Should Learn and Be Able to Do
I started this in mid-winter, just now finishing the last few chapters first. I'll circle back, as the first chapters address what teachers should know and be able to do, I believe.

I'm reading Darling-Hammond's The Flat World and Education on audiobook right now. She builds a compelling argument for the extreme importance of qualified teachers in the classroom.

Kirsten is on page 41 of 312 of Borderlands / La Frontera: The New Mestiza
The good news is that my poetry paper draft is like 4/5 done. The bad news is that I started reading Gloria Anzaldua's 'Borderlands / La Frontera' and it's really engaging. I'm digging for Feminist chican@ theory and intrigued by her lens.

The syntax, footnotes, and quiet humor are enchanting.

This is NOT what I was expecting when I found this play in the AP Literature book. I guess The Crying Game has somewhat prepared me for this journey ....
