This is the summer of reading Irish books

Getting there and loving this book, but omg sometimes people talk and you just don't know what they are saying. I do feel like I am getting better at comprehending this book.

I only know what's going on 50% of the time and that's okay

Love what’s going on. Very cute and fun

I really like the passage of time, drama, and setting, but the prose/narration isn't what I was expecting. There's almost no subtext. We are constantly being told how the characters feel in very blatant ways. Not exactly a terrible thing since it makes for an easy to digest audiobook.
