Yeah yeah I said I was done with this series but I need closure lol. I have hope this one will be better. The thing about small town romance series. There’s always approximately 3-6 brothers in the daily and one of them HAS to be a hockey player. It’s a non negotiable lol

PS: Pet peeve of mine in books is when there is a very specific and real pop culture reference that is too modern. It takes me out of the story and world building for some reason. It dates a book rather than keeping it somewhat timeless.

Ok personally I wouldn’t categorize Cole as a classic dark romance stalker… yes he is monitoring Sloane but because he is enthralled maybe even obsessed with her creative process. I’m not even sure where the morally gray aspect comes in… maybe he’s about to flip the switch?

Ok so this book keeps popping up on my kindle as recommended. I was intrigued because we have a morally gray MMC but also one of the microtropes said "forced ice skating"? What the hell is forced iced skating lol I will report back hopefully I don't traumatize myself.

Ok... You know the whole trope where the MMC is angry, hurt, feeling vulnerable and decides that he's not good enough for the FMC? So he decides to drive her away so he can live out his misery? He says something cruel and unforgiving to her.. something about what she told him in confidence, something traumatic to her? Dear lord I hate this kind of "conflict" in a romance book. Screw you Burgess! I hate your name too!
