i love when the fmc in a book written pre-2020 lets out a breath she didn't know she was holding it's so genuine and vintage.

One thing I really wish Clare even attempted to explore is the nature of the drug? As devastating as it is, this situation doesn't read like an addiction, it's more of a standin for a general terminal illness. I just wish the exact effects of the drug itself were explored more past "it keeps him from dying of withdrawal"

listen i love it but this book is so so so long. i thought the audiobook for the atlas paradox was crazy long and this one is somehow 3 hrs longer. genuinely how is this book less than 500 pages.
