I’m really loving this book so far. The romance is very captivating. I’ve been reading this on a car ride and I’m on Chapter 8. Nicholas is an asshole with trust issues but I just want him to get a grip and see what’s right I front of him.

I like it so far. This is my first Brenda J. book and I haven’t read a contemporary romance in forever so it does take some getting used to. Also I haven’t read a book were the chemistry was this intense right off the back but it’s honest and it’s not a typical insta love connection.

Wow! This book got really good. It is really slow in the beginning, but the romance saves this book for me. Also, I'm starting to see the similarities between this and One Thousand and One Nights. There isn't a lot of action within this novel, so I think it could have benefitted from leaning into the romance and making it more spicy because so far, those are the best parts.

This book is slower than I anticipated. Nothing awesome has happened yet. Also, I want there to be more chemistry between the caliph and Shazi. However, I could be proven wrong.

It’s good so far but it’s very slow. I’m waiting for something exciting to happen.
