This woman is just throwing herself into such needlessly stressful situation 😭

I'm trying to wrap my head around the way they met each other. She's driving a stick shift and does something that stalls the engine and causes a man from an oncoming firetruck to fly out of the truck. Then the fireman commandeers her vehicle? Why? What happened to the firetruck, and why are they all not in the truck like they do on 911?

I'm about ready for this book to be over at this point 🤣🤣

This book is so bad 🤣🤣. Dude kidnaps the woman he believes killed his father, so he tortures her by feeding her peanut butter sandwiches and then marrying her? FOH 🤣😭

This is the first time I'm finding a Theodora Taylor book hard to finish. The dialog seems to be dragging. I like the updates on the past characters tho, and she's hinting at a story with a secretly pregnant girl who left a German boyfriend.
