I read this immediately after I finished Spinning Silver (book club shoutout!) and I needed MORE from Novik. It’s excellent. I agree with other reviewers that the love interest/romance angle didn’t really hit, but considering it was such a minor point in the plot it was easy for me to focus on the other relationships.

After the umpteenth reference to “a hundred-pound mountain lion” I googled it and apparently females range from 60-140 lbs. I just assumed they were bigger but it’s not as though I’ve seen one outside of a zoo.

Novella: “A Rocket for Dimitrios” by Ray Naylor. Alternate history where a flying saucer really did crash in Roswell, granting the US incredible power and turning the tide of WWII. 5/5. I will never get tired of alternate-history Eleanor Roosevelt

I've read the entire series years ago, but I remember way more about A Wizard of Earthsea than The Tombs of Atuan. I'm hooked.
