Putting this down for a while. It’s very well written, but too bleak for my mood these days.

So far:
* For a meeting to work, attendees must agree on both *what* to discuss (content) and *how* to discuss it (process)
* Have a facilitator who tries to stay neutral
* Have someone taking public notes/records for everyone to see
* If your org is hierarchical, the manager should not be in one of those two roles, but should sit as another member

Nothing revolutionary yet, but it's early days.

Beasts is a compelling story, a gritty Aesop fable for the Genetics Age.

Finished The Deep, recommended reading for anyone doing fictional fantasy/scifi worldbuilding. Good characterization, but names end up a bit confusing - keeping the list of dramatis personae handy could be useful. Overall, liked it a lot.
