I'm gulping every page slowly. Too many characters to remember, kings, soldiers, Turks, and bandits.

Unable to relate the Turks in this book and Turkey today. Indian NDRF team has been sent for earthquake rescue operations. Just a thing, India hasn't changed, not even a teensy bit. Immensely happy that this soil is still wet with the essence of Dharma, after such a painful past.

For the first time, I've reached this far on an Amish Tripathi book! He seems to have a particular liking for turning the protagonist into a bandit or tribal.

Shiva or Rama Trilogies never worked on me. This one's a different take, and I'm reading after reco'd by a close friend. Maybe that's the reason. However, making sure I'm imbibing every page slowly. If not, I couldn't engage myself with Amish books.

Excerpts:

"All poets sing of love. Because a heart opened by love sees the world afresh."

"Don’t think love brings happiness; in fact, it is the opposite: love brings heartache and tears and more tears. But poets need love, and love needs poets."

"The water has no beginning and no end, but the pouring does. Life has no beginning and no end, but the story must start somewhere. Listen."

Phew! Another wonderful book full of metaphors..!

Brilliantly written!

Highly recommended for kids who begin with Hindu Tales, and also for story-thirsty adults like me!

A startling start!

How can I put down a book that talks about my hometown and mom's birthplace in detail in the preface?

Expecting known stories, but still wanna give it a try..!
