Not sure about this edition, but I'm on chapter and it's such a drag... an almost a 100 pages chapter in a modernist novel is too much for my brain

So far so good. I'm still reading each chapter twice (reading one chapter then reading it again before moving to the next one). I must say that eventhough it's very time consuming (considering that I'm reading it for uni), it's very helpful to understand what's going on.

Also, doing light research on few things helps tremendously.

The plan is to read each chapter twice. I'm currently done w reading chapter 2 twice; it takes a bit long considering the length of the book, but it's soooo useful since it's a modernist novel.

The same thing is to be said here (as for Oliver Twist). Because why read only 1 novel by dickens, but 2 of his novels (which imo is useless cause they share the same themes and tone)

Uni require readings get on my nerves, I don't enjoy reading dickens anyway, but it's worse when the professor doesn't tell what to focus on while reading...
The only exception was Heart of Darkness when I read it last year for my literature course
