I really want to like this book. Parts of it are just not working for me. I don’t think I’m going to abandon it, and there’s some stuff that’s just authors choice, but parts of the dialogue and character relationships feel contrived. I feel like jules at the end of pulp fiction. I’m tryin reeeeal hard to shepherd this book to something as good as book 1, but it doesn’t quite seem to be working.
