I'm torn. Like, this book is about a girl having to make false memories as a plot point. But... This plot is revolving naval gazing, and making false memories. Of the future!

I don't know if i'll finish this, but this backlogged book is unexpected to me.

Guess it's okay so far. Like... I dunno.

I'm still not feeling ship shape. Man... This sucks. I got an Amazon gift card, though, so I feel alright.

Beware of the dog... Interesting story. Thought it might take me a while. IRL stress has been wearing me down. So I wonder if the soldier is considered the dog in the garden in this story.

Reading a weird title, and pretty much it's so grim and dark that it's native publishing company, Australia, likely removed it from US publishing. So uh, I dunno. New adult books are odd ducks, especially if they tackle grooming stories.

Also, this book keeps blending into another scene so it's rather confusing writing so far.

This will go wild on my reading percentage if I go the way Mr. Palahniuk intended. So I'm sitting here with a pencil and sticky notes writing down chapters to jump to.

I'm going to take it easy on my goodreads challenge a little. I got sidetracked by IRL stuff heavily effecting me, so I'll read comics and fulfill that reading challenge at my rate.

uh, thanks publishing company. This comic adaptation isn't terrible. Just has a lot of simple art compared to the 1st time I read this novel.

Alright. So I edited my shelves. And I plan to make a new shelf with, "Oh-assault-light" to denote things. Not sure how to put like natural sounding ways to sort stuff on my shelves so others can avoid stuff they dislike, but I think this might be useful. I'll add more shelves as I go find weird stuff. Like romances with dark themes so others can see them and avoid them.

Oh, uh, do you guys need a content warning for assault? Nothing vulgar happened, just a jackass who used deception to bully a heroine. but I wondered if I should make another list of stuff to list things with content warnings again.

Oh, I dunno if issues came up, but with book scans, sometimes you can tell they didn't take the book out of the binding. So you have panels in there where the comic rotation is off. So like...

It's a bit of an interesting thing to see when you read enough books or comic scans.

A page full of covers. It's really neat to see older titles of these taken stories reprinted.

I had a neat experience of finding books that mimicked similar older pulp books. Now another story popped up after these cover sampling and this comic unfortunately has light water damage. Like the paper was smudged and some panels have blurry text. Unfortunate.

Despite this, I like the self driven protagonist stories.

Uh. Guess it's failing to hook me. I'll put this on second chance, as I keep starting and stopping this.

It's been interesting to treat odd prose parts like, 'the superior of our englishmen' as someone antiquated and you are a time traveler. Otherwise, I'll try something else. I keep mentally losing track of characters.
