Oh I do love his voice. Though it was slightly disorientating to fall asleep listening and wake up an hour later and he was still talking.

This is a weird book to listen to at 3am when you can't sleep.

I wish I'd had this as a young queer person struggling with my identity. I'm glad today's youth gets books like these and I'm reading them for the broken teenager inside me.

Oops, I stayed up past midnight reading. This was our February book and I'm obsessed.

I actually started this like two weeks ago, read 3 pages and made no further progress. Today I've been reading for 90 mins solid which is the most reading I've done for months. I'm really unwell and have been suffering through a reading slump as a result. I've been so desperate to read this book, I'm so in love with this world.

Listening to this, the narration is wonderful. Caleb Azumah Nelson has an amazing voice. It's such an immersive story. I would love to be able to listen to all the music talked about.

I am obsessed, this book is so good. It's not a "quick" read, but the kind of book to be savoured. Also, nice and queer.

This feels like having a conversation with a wise friend.

I'm learning so much about Sámi culture. It's not an easy book to read. I'll be very interested to see how the screen adaptation turns out. Not for the faint hearted though.

First time I've read anything in translation for a while. Excellent translation. Really interesting story. I don't know much about Sámi culture I must say. Compelling book.
