This is seriously a deliciously creepy book!

Hm. The audiobook might be a little too much for me to take on this one. I think the accents are a bother and sometimes there feels like TOO much folklore to appreciate the story. Almost a feel on Big Trouble in Little China, but not?

Yeesh. I'm trying hard to finish this book, but I've almost DNF'd it so many times. Monty is a very unlikeable character and the author apparently has issues with the Christian religion. Not to mention, there is a LOT of stereotypical portrayals in here for those of the Christian religion.

Oof. This book does not hold back. Making me cry in public.

This might damage my reader/review credibility, but I'm actually liking a Patterson book. Oh boy.

Oof. "What you're looking at, boy, is a bona fide real and true Ku Klux Klan regalia worn by God-fearing patriots across this great land of ours."

Gravy, this book is hurting my soul and turning my stomach. But...a read that everyone should read.
