This book. Making me sad for the girls mentioned and anyone going through that.

I definitely do not like the audio book narrator with her sing-song voice. Plus, how many vanilla candies does Evie eat that you can smell them on her breath all the time?!

I was actually 99% done before the event ^^

Started just now and wondering if I can finish the audiobook this evening in time for the event with Nell Hudson and Genevieve Wheeler.

"Memories are like drops of water in a bucket. There are only so many drops the bucket can hold and, over time, it begins to overflow. There are many things that I have forgotten too." ✨️

Am I the only one that is annoyed every time the name Toby Wick gets mentioned? Rolling my eyes so hard. I get why the name was chosen but did it have to be so on the nose?

Hoping the library copy gets returned soon so I can finish this soon! I was so close to finishing it too. Resolution for next year is setting a reminder when the audiobooks get returned automatically :)

So far this book is making it easy to read this before I have to return it to the library 😃 I really like the characters so far and the story as well as writing 😊

Already love the beginning. In the introduction the book talks about eschatology and mentions how many religions "need the world to end, and to end "justly" for it to have had meaning in the first place." She compares it to novels:

"A novel can be redeemed or retroactively ruined by its concluding chapter."

And omg do I love it and it's so freaking true.

Fun read so far

Starting to like some of the characters even less than before :( why would take credit for someone's work in the first place. No harm in admitting they helped out...

Love the way this is done:

She decided to break [the silence] with a hunter's version of talking about the weather. "So, how's novice hunter training going?"

I'm not sure it's a good idea I'm reading this but as it is an audiobook at least I will definitely be doing something else at the same time. For the moment it accompanies me on my walks. Let's hope I won't regret it 🙊😅
