Already love the beginning. In the introduction the book talks about eschatology and mentions how many religions "need the world to end, and to end "justly" for it to have had meaning in the first place." She compares it to novels:

"A novel can be redeemed or retroactively ruined by its concluding chapter."

And omg do I love it and it's so freaking true.
