Hmm. Sorry, didn’t love the main character at all. Too flighty for me. She didn’t operate out of any logic and seemed like she had borderline personality disorder vs trauma.

Interesting so far. I like the inclusion of the photos. Reads like a cross between A Handmaid’s Tale and Nabakov’s Invitation to a Beheading.

Wow! Knockout poem after knockout poem. There are moments in a good poem where you can empathisize and physically feel the poet’s emotions as she expresses them on the page. Sara’s ability to connect with the reader and send her feelings via some kind of Massachusetts Vulcan Mind Meld is exemplary. Enjoying this collection immensely, so far. It is as refreshing and invigorating as exploring a wild garden.

Enjoying it so far, but man, is it a harsh book…it’s worth it for the writing, though.
