Here I am reading another classic! So far so boring. My son DID NOT like this one, but here I am reading letters from Robert Walton to his sister, Margaret until he meets a stranger on his journey who tells him his story...

So...I must be crazy. I decided to read a few classics. I started with Virginia Woolf, Mrs Dalloway. What a messy book! I believe the prose is meant to mirror the messiness of the mind. It feels as though the book is one long stream of thoughts jumping from character to character. My impression is that the main character did what was expected of her to marry well and have a child, but it seems it is not enough.

I can't believe Finkel compares Breitwieser's love of art to the tormented live of Tristan and Isolde! What?! Breitwieser wastes his life in art crime IMO.

Rin finally has her mojo back, and she is ready to fight a war!

So disappointed in Rin. She has become that person who wallows in self-pity and uses opioids to numb her mind instead of facing her actions and there consequences. She simply doesn't deal with her issues. She is a far cry from the powerful protagonist of The Poppy War. I am almost half way through, but I am unsure I can finish.
