I want to be liking this so much more than I am :(

I do really want to get to this but not in the mood atm

I'm invested emotionally after so many books but this one is also kind of a slog agh. I think I might try a hunger games reread next. I've fully abandoned my reading challenge at this point in favor of comfort reads :')

I love how she writes romance/am always struck by how much I prefer this over the rest of her novels despite Normal People being the default

Picked this up to finish the cozy mystery category on my reading challenge and was jumpscared by a GOTDAMN CONTEMPORARY TRAUMA PLOTLINE

the feeling of dread of realizing where i am in the plot and then seeing im only 60% done. oh dear

honestly not loving this so far but it's very listenable and fast-paced and seems to have all the things I usually love (strange love stories! gross and unexplainable physical transformations! mommy issues!) so i'm interested to keep reading

Really hating the miscommunication plot rn and how it'a boiling down to FMC thinks MMC is maybe texting someone else bc he has his phone out...? Also he DUMPED HER and they still haven't talked about it and now they're almost hooking up again?!?!

MMC waxing poetic about FMC's "epic eye rolls" I am not going to survive the multi-chapter smut scene ...

Terrible but also compulsively readable so far so... Who's to say

hmmmm audiobook is read in slam poetry meter and i'm not feeling the heaviness so i am putting aside for now. beautiful, tho!

i'm once again discovering a smash hit book that i avoided and finding it's actually pretty great :'/// reading it as kind of like a satire of enemies to lovers but also just the platonic ideal example, anyway, very cute and fun and uplifting.
