They solved the case. the writing style was distracting, and I’m not sure I’m satisfied with the happy ending. Tied up with a bow it started out as more emotional, and more drama than action movie based.

They cracked the code, stepdad was the rapist. Was he the murderer? Seems like Carl didn’t do it. Both Joe and Lila have complicated histories. Can the relationship grow? Will telling the story, resolve anything?

The Keystone cop/robber ending was weird. The dark humor didn’t cover the sad story well. I’m not sure if I liked the characters and I’m not sure it represented a culture correctly. As caste system is not new, It didn’t introduce it to me. Maybe it would’ve been a different receipt if new

I do not like this book. I do not think it treats the women fairly. I think does not give them the depth that they do are due based on their circumstances. The culture challenges I do not think I’m gonna finish. I got the two husband killings.

OK, these characters are very tough to understand. They speak too American and live in such a different culture. It’s confusing. The old friendship is starting to mend, but the strange solution to their challenges does not make sense.

Geeta is interesting. Poverty is depressing. Farah did kill hubby & celebrated. Amere? Also seems interested in Geeta for her strengths. Solone was not a friend that relationship is challenged by poverty survival

I am struggling with trying to decide how much I really like this book. Was is the main character likable? I didn’t like the inner voice and then the surprise decisions not matching. The ending FM kissing did feel nice for them hopeful for the future.

Satisfying ending that she got the cat & Max she’s like a cat where she is afraid of rejection, so rejected first. I did like the Groundhog Day theme, but it was so sad how hard she made her life.

At 10 minutes left I’m worried all she’s gonna get out of this three days is the cat. Her very nice ex is still in love with her and thinks she’s perfect.

Ok, got story on Gail’s affair. surprising how mundane she made it seem in her voice. Her inner voice is so worried about how all perceived, why didn’t she worry about impact. weird details, she wore same clothes day after, neckline being looser, needed a wash. Max still a nice guy, even if he didn’t want to deal with the affair. Just compounded the situation. Still don’t know how decided should be a divorce.

Big surprise is that groom may have cheated on bride but bride seems to believe his denial. Mom is so worried that she is not listening to herself enough. Mom revealed that she made mistake in their marriage. Based on how she is, that may be incorrect as she doesn’t really see the world truthfully. Wedding was a blur to mom as she was so stressed. How sad.

Initial thoughts about a mom, Gail and dad. Max are so confused as to why these are the characters as neither are very likable. Well, maybe Max is more than Gail as I only have his description from her point of view.

Chapter 36 Sally. So far an interesting list of characters at a time so long ago.

Chapter 16, Amos was not lover, only friend. Slow start to journey. But don’t like Caprice.

Chapter 14, still piecing this together. The back and forth from past to present is interesting way to present story. Characters just beginning to unfold.

Enjoyed immensely, listening to audio it was an interesting coming of age story. I liked the scale of fame. The gang of five, with April in charge Of the gang and the POV it is hard to see others. Her writing this history with future knowledge Is an interesting way for a memoir to be written.

So far using audio has been enjoyable. The voice is a fun addition to hear this POv from. She doesn’t come off as an idiot but I can see that happening if didn’t have voice with upbeat and positive flare
