Stuck With You: 4.5 stars. This one flew by. I think it was super engaging and did a good job of not making the miscommunication trope feel overly frustrating.

Under One Roof: 4 star. Fun, flirty, and spicy. I just like scenes of people falling in love over mundane activities

Black Phone: 4 stars. A cool concept. I think it will translate well into film

Better than Home: 3 stars. This was very simple unless I’m stupid and I don’t get it

Abraham’s Boys: 2.5 stars. A good concept, I just wish they did more with it

You Will Hear the Locust Sing: I wasn't enjoying it, so I just DNf'ed this one.

Pop Art: This was a very strange and weird story. I'm not sure how I even feel about it. 3 stars

20th Century Ghost: 4.5 stars. Good concept. Very bittersweet. Could be a movie

Best New Horror: 4 stars. Unique concept. Liked the mystery vibe. Unsettling ending

Changeling: 1 Star. This one just didn’t click for me and I felt I didn’t get the point of it.

Happy Days, Sweetheart 4.5 stars.

This is one of my favorite Poe stories and I loved how it was true to the story yet also super different. I loved the idea of being ignored and seeking revenge because of that because... relatable. The ending was not what I was expecting, but I am into it

A Drop of Stolen Ink: 3 stars. I really appreciated how they took a story from the 1800s and turned it into a sci-fi story, Poe man, he's awesome. I think the concept was really cool. It didn't stuck with me as much, but it could have been that I wasn't paying enough attention. It was engaging, but not a stand out to me.

The Glittering Dream: 5 stars.
This is such a great way to pay homage to the story but make it feel like your own story still. It is creey and dark. It feels like I was reading Silence of the Lambs. My favorite thing that Caleb has written. Also a quality Buffy the Vampire Slayer deep cut reference! I think this one will probably be my favorite in the anthology

Night-Tide: 4.5 stars. This had a beautiful, elegant tone to it. I felt it did a great job of matching the feel of the original tale. Also, this was the first time I saw my name in a book and spelled how I spell it, so that was a win for me

It's Carnival: 4 stars.

This is based off of one of my FAVORITE Poe stories. It def. lived up to the original, I just wish it was longer!

She Rode a Horse on Fire: 4 stars.

I really liked the writing of this. It had a nice foreboding tone and an interesting plot. I just feel like I didn't totally understand the ending
