Reading these characters wrestle with questions about government, equal rights, and if religion helps people or burdens them as I watch my own country struggle with these same topics brings tears to my eyes. I am wrestling with the hardness of hearts I see in so many people around me, and it’s a testament to Sanderson’s writing that his fantasy books can bring me so much comfort during chaotic times.

So charmed- can’t stop reading!!

This book sucks and finishing it feels like pulling off a bandaid made out of duct tape but I’m going to do this because I’m too far in to turn back
