Why am I about to cry

The fact that one of the things I can think to praise about this book is smooth they/them usage and vax'ildan bisexuality is kind of a pathetically low bar. Give me vex bisexuality and maybe then we'll be getting somewhere.

The best part of this book is that vax is a massive whore

I feel like if I don't finish this book today I never will

I kind of can't fathom who made the marketing decision to hire a YA author to adapt a decidedly adult property into a novel about adults but I don't think it worked

You ever see something coming and you just have to sit there feeling like you're going to throw up

I'm listening to the audiobook of this so I can read at work but I'm becoming perhaps more convinced of my conviction against audiobooks bc the writing is not hitting nearly as hard as O'Farrell has for me in the past. People who liked hamnet is this prose not as good or is it me

This book is so dedicated to Daisy being a Good Sweet Loving Caring Person (I know this bc they keep having characters call her that, in those words) as if the appeal of the great gatsby isn't that she (and everyone around her) Is Not

You know usually people demonize Daisy in order to make nick and Gatsby a perfect uwu gay couple so it's really a refreshing #feminist take to do it the other way around

It's giving Wattpad it's giving my Hamilton fanfiction from when I was 13
