I’m losing interest… too much sex not enough story

I’m at 68% and just can’t read anymore and to be honest, apart from the ridiculously high amount of 5 stars, a lot of people say it goes down hill at 80%. I’m saving myself some time and energy and just moving on.

I’m shelving this for the time being, I feel like I’ve missed to much background story.

Obviously I didn’t do enough research on this before picking it up. It’s a offshoot of another series. So much has already happened with other characters that, I don’t necessarily need to know but it would be more enjoyable if I did.

I’m going to DNF this one. I’m 30% in and skimming already. Initially the 3rd person storytelling took awhile to get use to and then it just seemed repetitive already and there was a long way to go. I’d rather be reading something more enjoyable for me and I was so looking forward to this.
