For an English major, I'm embarrassingly slow at reading most nonfiction and most books over 500 pages. But so far almost every page of Native Nations is completely mind-blowing to me. I finished Part I: The Indigenous Peoples of North America, 1000s to 1750, and the political transformation that the spotlighted nations went through is just astounding. I haven’t had my mind feel opened up like this since college!

I feel guilty rereading childhood/middle school favorites when I have so many unread books on my shelf, but they're what I feel up to reading these days.

"All the pretty dead white girls" would be a good title for another book.

Loving it so far! I wasn't expecting the delightful addition of oral history.
