Reading for my Post Colonial Literature class, having fun so far.

Instead of fighting each other, Pamela, Charlotte, Lori and Bebe should have joined forces and hunted Jimmy Page for sport.

At the same time deeply troubling and outright ridiculous, can't put it down. You just can't make some of this shit up.

At this point idk if I'm trying to feed my obsession or run it to the ground? Anyway, I am well aware of the reputation of this biography, but it was the only one my local library had. I'm taking it with a spoonful of salt and I am interested to see if there's anything more to it than the account of the infamous mud shark incident.

I love patting myself on the back when I get all the little Wilde references in this.

It simply makes me happy that these books exist. It also makes me happy to read about Oscar when I'm sad (even if it's a fictionalised version of him).

I have never read a book which has less things happening in this amount of pages but is also somehow so captivating to read

What else is a seaside vacation for other than reading a long book in a week? (I have too many unread books on my home shelf and I am trying to get the number down)

I'm in my 17 year old self revival era, and this is the one book I didn't read back then, so I'm catching up now

Wanted a break from Game of Thrones and my god. This is so so sooo good which devil do I need to sell my soul to to write like that

It's okay. Seems like there's not much in here that I didn't already know, except the fact that he toured Yugoslavia! He didn't make a stop in Ljubljana though, unfortunately.

I'm so disappointed that this is just about the only biography of Veidt in English, it reads as very biased, not particularly in depth (except for the laundry list of each filn Veidt starred in, along with its full cast and synopsis) and surprisingly scattered and non chronological. Still though, for me, sort of worth reading for the parts that actually say something about his life.

I would recommend the writers of Death Note use a baby name directory or something because. Believe Bridesmaid. Quarter Queen. Backyard Bottomslash. Beyond Birthday. Legit American names apparently??

Have been avoiding this book for 5 years. Do I know what happened in the last one? No. Will I let that stop me? Also no.

You KNOW that if a book summary has "1970s" and "rock music" in it, I WILL transform into my high school self and read it immediately

God bless my ereader and slow days at work 🙏🏻 Even though this book is definitely NOT safe for work.

Had a slow couple of days at work and have been reading this on my ereader. I get it, it's trying to tackle capital I Important topics but it just comes across so obnoxious sometimes, ESPECIALLY in dialogue.
