getting very boring there is absolutely no reason this should be 544 pgs.
I'm tired of people acting like this is a masterpiece it's just Rebecca monologuing for hundreds of pages about the same thing over and over... I'm too far in to dnf so the ending better impress

Robin still has no personality, Ramy is funny, Letty sucks and Victoire is just there for now

Ok so I've read yellowface (loved) and the poppy war (loved but then it fell off for me at the end) by R. F. Kuang already and this is like an insane mixture of both of those books

I loved Yellowface, was iffy on the Poppy War, let's see how Babel goes. Katabasis is next up when I finish this unless I need a breather

Not off to a strong start with an egregiously long run on sentence and multiple grammatical errors 3 pages in… BUT willing to keep giving it a chance since 1. This is a signed exclusive Waterstones copy 2. It’s emhen and since I’ve been reading her since her first book dropped I feel a certain loyalty 3. I feel a connection to TLGAD that I can’t explain in words & this book is based off of the story of it
