The Easter Egg of the Jedi shield was amazing, a perfect use of an Easter Egg because THR fans will recognise it while others won't have to know anything about Cohmac giving Reath the shield beyond a personal moment between these two estranged friends

The 'Job' chapter between p. 782-793 is a perfect example of everything Pillars is about: a search for 'magic' that religion sought to fill, the search for 'truth' in that quest beyond just convenient narratives, all framed within a character-driven narrative as Philip opposes Jack's concucted narrative

This is probably the best mystery Rowling has written so far. It's sufficiently well-written that we can guess something is rotten at the heart of the UHC, that there's a mystery behind its supernatural events, but nothing proved so far. But the worldbuilding around the UHC is reminiscent of the good old days when she wrote fantasy, coupled with excellent character work. Loving TRG so far

The UHC sermon was incredibly well-written, probably Rowling's best writing in a while. Coming from a woman who has Christian beliefs, it's interesting to see her own reflections about religion come out, as well as a clearly manipulative bent coming from a cult leader nevertheless intertwined with a relatable message. I wasn't sure about this cult angle at first, but I love it now.
