Rubin’s book on creativity is split into tiny chapters. I read one each morning and then try to ‘sit with it’ during the day.
I’d recommend it.

When in Rome, read some dense ecclesiastical historical fiction. I’m starting to get the gist of when to Google the esoteric monk stuff and when to just skim over it.

The unfortunate events of Hugh Glass: they’d be comical if they weren’t written in such grizzly detail.

I’m hooked on this already. If this was the first book you’d read on the creative process, Rubin doesn’t help the idea that creativity is some sort of magic.
His style is quite woo-woo spiritual, but there are kernels of truth in everything he writes.
Plus, I love how unashamedly his chapter summaries are written like ancient proverbs.

Sometimes I wonder why I do this to myself 😓
