Kate is on page 580 of 652 of John le Carré: The Biography
This generous biography offers a compelling account full of insights and information about John Le Carre's life, his family, friends, editors and literary agents.

You get a real sense of warmth as Sisman introduces each and every person involved in publishing the novels that Le Carre wrote so meticulously and with so much care.

There are also lots of photographs showing JLC en famille and a cameo actor. Fab!

Fantastic novel about life in an Australian city where inhabitants balance love, business, and parenthood. I have a trade paperback which I've listed as hardback because it's got that cover but infact the cover is softback. I think its an Australian copy too, so I feel privileged to have a book published in Australia.

Motherwell is a memoir of journalist, Deborah Orr's early life and focusses on her relationship with both of her parents, Win and John Orr. They lived a thoroughly organised life earning enough to feed a small family living in a Steel industry part of Scotland. Do read the book, it is full of humour and love.

Kate is finished with Bright Kids Who Can't Keep Up: Help Your Child Overcome Slow Processing Speed and Succeed in a Fast-Paced World
Having known people, and actually being one of them, who have sl ps I believe that it is a gear in our fast paced and often unthinking world. It takes real human beings to absorb the ideas and thoughts of our civilisations and thank goodness not everyone clicks through at the speed of light but clanks instead!

Kate is 59% done with Raising Them: Our Adventure in Gender Creative Parenting
Gender at the level of actually raising a child to be gender neutral is something I hadn't encountered before seeing Raising Them. As a rebellious art student I read Gender Trouble which visualised gender. I edited a report about my DS to gender neutral and it became more respectful to them as an individual as a result.

Kate is 57% done with Girl Gone Mad
The story of school friends reuniting once one of them has passed away and the news goes viral through social media. Avery Bishop deftly shows the unease that news spread like this causes, when a parent is more up to date on your friends than you are.
