THIS WAS AN ILLEGAL CLIFFHANGER AND I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY. I NEED TO HAVE ALREADY READ THE NEXT BOOK A WEEK AGO I AM UNWELL

The only reason I approve of the parents’ decision at the end of this book is because of things carried on as they were, Grady was going to be convicted for treason and murder, maybe not in that order 😃😃 and he would have been JUSTIFIED

I am Team Sophie and Keefe, I have no clue if it’s the canon ship, but it’s MY canon ship
This is going to be fun to continue! I feel like this book held up even better than the last, which is great, since second books are usually weaker

How fun! This is a great middle grade book with some very successful emotional beats, I’m genuinely impressed

I’ve got 188 annotations in this book and not a single one is positive. I have infinite rant content and dear GOD I’m going to have WORDS with the people who recommended this to me. Atrocious cliffhanger ending and idec I’m not TOUCHING this series again

I usually dont add manga to my Goodreads but I read all 29 volumes in like three days and it was only that slow because I decided to watch the anime…I feel like that counts as AT LEAST two books, right?
Also this was amazing and I’m making myself very busy so that I don’t think about the fact THAT IT ENDED AND I CANT READ ANY MORE CHAPTERS BECAUSE THERE ARE NONE AND IT’S OVER. I’m not sobbing.

Buddy reading takes UNFORGIVABLY LONG

And it ends up being this…
Characters who are both inconsistent and painfully stupid, a completely unfounded and uncompelling romance, randomly gruesome and frankly unnecessary side character deaths, and a twist ending reveal that just made me groan.
It’s a do not recommend from me :)

Lovely cute wholesome amazing how on EARTH am I supposed to live up to the Heidi in this book 😹😹

You’d figure that I’d have picked this up sooner considering it is my literal namesake

And this story is SO cute so far

Got very frustrating and borderline annoying at the end. But decent overall

This grew on me WAY faster than the opening chapters made me think it would
