Allison is starting Gentle and Lowly: The Heart of Christ for Sinners and Sufferers
Reading for the umpteenth time. This book encourages me so much and helps me to turn to Jesus over and over and over.

Allison is starting Joy at the End of The Tether: The Inscrutable Wisdom of Ecclesiastes
“God gives to a wise man the gift of watching, with a pious and grateful chuckle, one damn thing after another.”

“All things considered, the furious activity of this world is about as meaningful as the half-time frenzy at the Super Bowl. But a wise man can be there and enjoy himself. This is the gift of God.”

Allison is starting Troubled: A Memoir of Foster Care, Family, and Social Class
I really enjoyed this book - very readable. I do love me a memoir! His concept of “Luxury Beliefs” is very interesting and compelling - those ideas and opinions that give status to the upper class but are costly to the lower class (drug legalisation, gender ideologies, throwing away of sexual ethics, police defunding, etc.)

Beautiful and rich and layered. Listen to the audiobook - Kellie Martin’s narration is stunning.

Allison is starting Beyond Mere Motherhood: Moms Are People Too
This woman speaks my language. One chapter in and I want to highlight the whole dang thing.

I have “picked” Cindy as my own personal Titus 2 mentor. (Hi Cindy, if you’re reading this!)

You know that get-to-know-you question, “If you could meet anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?”

My answer will always be Cindy Rollins!
