Struggled to care but I can see the merit of this book

P much correctly guessed the outcome of this, enjoyed it

Borrowed e-book from the library. Currently reading in the airport. At first couldn’t tell if the opinions being shared by MMC were his or that of the author (feel it is MMC now). Coupled this with being in the presence of the most entitled old bag giving out that she doesn’t believe Kate Middleton may cancer/ an illness and long nails were unladylike, I am having an experience to say the least.

Child in this called Jin Kazama and all I can think of now is baby Tekken characters

Didn’t live up to my expectations, or the raving reviews I had seen. It’s a perfectly okay book.
Not sure if it’s just a bit too ‘uwu be happy and live your bestie’ or if the story would’ve worked better had it been more serious.
Or maybe just not for me :)

Maybe wasn’t in the proper mind to fully appreciate everything going for this book. I liked the writing, the relationships between the characters and often quite liked the parallels it was drawing to current day Palestine.
It lost me a bit with how much of the book was the rehearsal for the play- I get the name sake, also love how the author used their own Arabic-English translation of the play. Just a bit slow

Loved it AND discovered this publisher- literally ticks all the boxes of what company I want to support. Hell yeah.
Definitely going to pick up Eva’s other works.

I feel this was more paranormal than horror/thriller. P good book, such a quick read too.
Nothing stand-out about it but translation was good, kept me interested. Probs a 3.25-3.5 ⭐️

I like Kitchen pt.2 a lot more than I did pt.1 but the first part has something in it that I’ve seen in other Japanese media that I’m just not sure I fully appreciate/ understand the origin of as it rubs me the wrong way (someone presenting as trans and the surrounding cast just constantly dead-pronoun-ing them)

THOUGHTS A-BREWING

I had this on while cross-stitching and it was pleasant. Nothing extraordinary but I had a good time.
Fight or flight kicked in when it came to the dog’s dream but can confirm no harm came to any dogs.
Overall really sweet book- very easy to read, really nice slice of life/ healing fiction.

Idk why goodreads says the audiobook is 7 pages but heyho. This is quite cute so far.
