Flight to Forever by Poul Anderson - 3/5 - A palatable yet obviously aged story. The continuous flight into the future gives it this grand, sweeping feel, and the people and times imagined are entrenched in the time the story was written. Reminds me a bit of Wells' Time Machine.

The Rockpile - two half-brothers restricted to their fire escape look longingly at the neighborhood rockpile where the other boys play. One sneaks out and gets hurt. Family/relationship story. Short and effective.

Is that Dr Doom leading an army of Robocops?

Best ghost story scene I've read in a while: " ' What you going to do?' She cried. 'You break my neck, and then what? You think I won't come back and haunt *you*? Go ahead! Make me a ghost! See what that gets you.' "
