I have conflicted feelings about this book, they jump to the underlying plot very quickly and there is really no introduction to the characters. I’m missing the background part of it but at the same time the plot is kind of interesting. I may have to pause this one and come back later on.

I like the first book a bit more than this one tbh. Something is missing from this book but I’m not sure what it is.

This may be the book that gets me out of a slow reading slump

I like the banter and the slow pace. I do feel like the FMC is very flat; she isn’t terrible but there has to be more to her than just her feelings toward her body. It’s nothing wrong with that but compared to the story compared to the MMC I want more; he seems more dynamic.

I’m already enjoying this book a lot. I don’t know why I put it off for so long.

The writing is good but I don’t care for the format of the story.

So far it’s giving 4⭐️ because I knew Evelina was innocent but this level of innocent I am finding annoying. Hopefully as her and Vaughn interact my mind will change but so far she’s pretty unbearable. It’s crazy that I like the MMC way more than the FMC in a dark romance 😅
