The story had me involved and kept me emotionally involved. Two things that bothered me: 1) Whatever happened to the brief character, Mellows who got beaten up and his son? They weren't mentioned again. I was waiting to hear more about them. 2) I thought that near the end of the book, it was a little over the top, throwing too much into their perils. Having said that, I still thought it was well worth reading.
