I loved the idea of cannibalism and a toxic love between a young daughter and her mom, but it feels like the book is trying very hard to gross you out and shock you and at the same time wow you with this poetic beautiful kind of language & it’s coming off as more of a cliche, very unrealistic way of dialogue. Feels quite childish and aside from the plot being ofc pretty mature I’d compare the writing to a YA book
