The slow burn pace of this book is KILLING ME—I want to get to the action with Dracula upfront! The slow reveal is definitely making me unable to put this book down. I bet the climax is going to be epic!

We made it to the infamous castle of Count Dracula—reminds me of Hotel Transylvania 😭🤣 Jonathan Harker is not the brightest fellow for wanting to meet up with Dracula with barely any prior knowledge

I have a sneaky feeling that the term “friend” will soon be tested. Just seeing his name screams suspicious

So I’m already obsessed—can’t wait to see how Rhiona and Andar’s power complexes are gonna collide!

The Peaky Blinders+HTYD are STRONG in this book—too bad Cillian Murphy’s not a character in this. I can’t wait to finish this book—have a strong feeling I’m gonna LOVE IT!

YO I WANNA KNOW THE LORE BEHIND MARIE—the slow burn suspense is gonna KILL ME

Reading this along with the Bonhoeffer autobiography is so insightful. Learning about his life and applying that to the simply beautiful concepts of truth about Christianity and the Church is truly a life-altering experience

Uh oh not nosey servants…they’re the worst (says someone who is obviously not royal and can relate to this) You know those servants are gonna be a pain though later in the plot…

Liking the vibes of this one—nice to have a read that isn’t super complex/emotional…looking at you LOTR and Fly to Fury

I can almost taste the chocolate! The food imagery is very realistic, so beware! This may be a bad book for me purely because of my EXTREMELY large sweet tooth…every time I see the word chocolate it fiercely reminds me of my constant desire for a sweet treat 🤣

I’m getting closer to the end—I can’t wait for the iconic scene: YOU SHALL NOT PASS!!

Ich bin müde. 🤣😭 Das ist sehr interessant, aber ich habe viel Arbeit machen. Applying for college while trying to juggle German grammar and APHUG summer work is something else—but at least (I might sound crazy lol) I enjoy the German grammar 🤣

Ok…I get that our FMC is a genius at mathematics, but she is making that a main determinator of her personality. In some ways I understand, as having such an ability would make you view the world differently. However, when she downgraded the secretaries because of their chattering, it felt a little much/harsh—I hate the term pick me girl, but that’s kinda the vibe I’m getting. Maybe it will change though!
