I can’t finish this book. The graphic assault scene makes me sick. I know that Islam is cruel to women but this was too graphic. The scene is stuck in my head and it is horrible.

I can’t finish the first chapter. The head-hopping is too frequent.

I read the first trilogy in this book. It was very entertaining and engaging but there was a sprinkling of swears and the last story in the first trilogy had an almost sex scene between unmarried characters. Neither of those things do I want in my head so I stopped reading. It’s too bad because the story itself was really good and those things were unnecessary to the story.

I can’t keep going. Something about the writing style doesn’t seem to flow for me. The premise is also difficult to accept. Without social services and an official adoption, there is no way they’d get to keep the kid. I just couldn’t get past that. But also I had trouble getting into the story. Since I don’t have a lot of time to read, I’m not going to force myself to finish something I don’t like.
