I have misplaced this book and cannot find it, so I'm putting it on hold for now. Fortunately it's not one of the author's best books so if I don't find it I'm not gonna worry about it.

This is a new to me author who I’d never heard of, so I didn’t really know what to expect, but so far I’ve smiled a lot, I’ve laughed out loud, and I’ve cried. I’m only at the halfway mark and already know it’s getting five stars.

You ever start a book by a new to you author and before you’re even halfway through you already want to read everything else that author has written? That’s where I am right now.

Left for work in a hurry this morning and forgot to grab a book. Luckily I keep an emergency book in my desk drawer so I had something to read on my break.

Debating whether I want to finish this. I’m at the halfway mark and it’s moving along like molasses.

Eighteen pages in and the grouchy hero is already pissing off the heroine. We’re off to a promising start!

I love a good enemies to lovers story! Alexis and Malcolm have been trading barbs and at each other’s throats from their first meeting and it’s pretty wonderful! Plus I just learned a new word, siddity, which I had to stop and google: uppity, pretentious, stuck up. And neither of them called the other siddity - Alexis is referring to her mother’s friends!

Since joining Revell Reads this is the third romantic suspense I’ve read and I already suspect I’ll be giving it five stars! I’m going to have to start looking for previous books published before I knew about Revell Books. If they’re all as good as this one and the two others I read...my credit card may be getting a workout!

For the first part of this book I thought it was okay, I liked the writing, but I wasn't riveted. And then suddenly I was and can't wait to get home tonight so I can read.

I didn't realize this is the second book of a trilogy until I saw that here. I'm very anal about not reading series books out of order, but since I requested this book from Bookish First and I've already had it a week and my review is due in two weeks and I don't seem to find much time to read these days, I don't think I have time to hunt down the first book and read it. So, onward march!

I loved Lullaby, by this same author, so much that I promptly bought everything I could find by her. 45 pages in and so far this one has failed to grab me the way Lullaby did.

Does anyone else here feel like the ads on GR are getting to be more intrusive and annoyingly in-your-face? Or is it just me?

Holy plot twist! I think I’m gonna be up later than usual tonight.

I get ready to relax in bed with my book only to realize I left it at the office! So I need something to read tonight and an old Sandra Brown romance seems perfect.

I loved all the previous Tales of the City books until I read the one before this one, which I was really disappointed in. So I started it without high expectations. And now I'm so glad I finally got around to it because I'm very much enjoying it. I'm zipping through now quite happily!

Six chapters in and I am really liking this, and really liking the author's style. I'm already pretty sure I'm going to want to hunt down the rest of her books.

I'm so glad I started this book after not caring for the first book I read by this author, because I am very much enjoying this one.

I actually started this book on the first and won’t finish it until December 31 as I’m reading a page a day!

Starting this tonight, my first time reading this author.

Had a little trouble connecting with the characters, but Burke is quickly growing on me. Abbie annoys a little. She wanted Burke to stop being a cop when they got married, and five years after their divorce as they start to reconnect she still wants him to stop being a cop. Get over it!

Enjoying the witty doctor's observations about the residents of the remote Juniper Island, off the coast of Maine.

(did you know in these updates you're limited to 420 characters? Never noticed that before) So the elite group Sal has joined, their mission is to stealthily exterminate as many Indians as possible. In one raid they killed women and children. And I'm a bit appalled though I understand why Sal hates Indians. And as a registered member of a tribe myself (though I'm only 1/8) I feel I should be more appalled than I am.

Such mixed emotions about this book. I'm in the middle (or thereabouts) of the second book in this omnibus, "Bedford Village". The first book, where we see Salathial's family murdered by Indians and him kidnapped by the chief and then raised as his own son, was fascinating. But now grown up Sal is part of an elite group of men who are not officially military but are sanctioned by (and paid) by the military...

I'm slogging through this, and have even contemplated DNFing it, but I'm not quite at that point yet. I did, however, put it on hold for a few days.
