Etta Grace is starting Honor: A Sci-Fi & Fantasy Anthology
Whoops this ARC deadline snuck up on me. Because this is an anthology (and I don't know if I'll finish the whole book by the 31st) I'll be posting updates as I read each story!

Maybe I should have read this before I went on a two week trip bouncing all over Japan, but listening to it for 5 hours on the plane ride back was fun too because I could recognize most of the main locations and geography from my train rides and museum visits which was neat. The story is conscisely told and engaging enough that I'm still following the broad strokes despite being jet lagged and exhausted.

Etta Grace is 60% done with Homer: The Iliad: The Story of Achillês
My library loan expired and I had to check out a different translation based on what was available and the new version is actually in RHYME which is very fun to listen to but I'm not sure how much of the plot I'm missing as a result of losing the direct translation. I feel like these epics should be listened to as they were meant to be, but benefit the most from footnotes in English which is a conflict of format.

I am not enough of a Greek scholar to know what makes a good translation versus a poor one but I do find it endlessly entertaining that chariots (?) are called "cars" in this one.
