Maybe I should have read this before I went on a two week trip bouncing all over Japan, but listening to it for 5 hours on the plane ride back was fun too because I could recognize most of the main locations and geography from my train rides and museum visits which was neat. The story is conscisely told and engaging enough that I'm still following the broad strokes despite being jet lagged and exhausted.
